Color the Canopy Celebration

We would like to thank you all for attending the Color the Canopy Celebration event at Paul Simon Co. and for supporting TreesCharlotte. The paintings purchased and the donations made will allow Charlotte’s beloved tree canopy to be protected and grown.

Giving Back Artfully

TreesCharlotte partnered with Paul Simon Art to offer an incredible display of artistry to give back to the community. This unique fundraiser was to protect and grow Charlotte’s beloved tree canopy: The sale of the 27 original Paul Simon paintings benefited TreesCharlotte!

Who is TreesCharlotte?

…and what do they do?

TreesCharlotte was established in 2012 as a public/private nonprofit collaboration to grow and diversify Charlotte’s urban forest by promoting tree stewardship, growing Charlotte’s tree canopy and educating how to plant and preserve trees. TreesCharlotte focuses on underserved communities and is a 501(c)3.

The most recent aerial analysis in 2014 showed that Charlotte’s tree canopy cover was 47%. Our hope is that Charlotte will plant 500,000 trees by 2050 and remain The City of Trees for generations to come.
